How come there's a Teflon and Kynar extended delivery times

In the last year, the market has had more allocations than I have come across around my 30 years experience. In the past I have seen sharp price increases, and I have observed several shortages, and delivery delays caused by resin allocations through plastic resin companies. This is definitely the first instance I have seen all these issues at one time. PTFE Sheet (TFE) and Kynar both are on allocation. Both of these resins are in short supply. The  PTFE Sheeting product PTFE (TFE) as well as Kynar  manufacturing requires a mineral called Fluorspar that is mined in Mongolia and China. The worldwide demand for this mineral has risen significantly, as well as supply has tightened. PTFE materials have high heat resistance, excellent chemical resistance and very low co-efficient of friction (slick) and is utilized in a bunch of applications from non-stick fry kitchenware to ptfe tape for personal use. This specific mineral is the essential raw materials within the manufacturing of fluoropo
